    **Buyer Beware** I am a Private Investigator and the Host and Producer of a very popular International show aiding the families of the victims of Unsolved Cases. When I decided to purchase new carpet, I asked my brother to find a place in Muncie where we could get a great quality carpet at an honest price with honest and reliable installers. He went to Carpet Plus in Muncie and was told they have a large piece of precut carpet that they would sell us and quoted the carpet and installation. It was mentioned this space is for a loft above my very large two car garage that we are finishing. We know little about carpet laying, and my brother's impression with the owner was that he seemed honest and professional so we trusted him to get the job done quick and right. I guess we assumed we would also be treated fairly and with respect, but that did not happen. The first time the installers came out, as they were leaving, they rudely explained that it was too cold in the loft so we would need to create a new install time and day. My brother explained we have a very large Industrial Karasine heater that we used to heat the loft while it was being worked on, so asked for 5 minutes to get it turned on as it heats the space very quickly. They refused, and left. So they came back the next day, we had the loft heated and had the windows opened (there are three windows) to ensure it was comfortable for the installers. After bringing in the carpet they packed up everything and then found my brother and said there in a corner there is a board loose that needs fixed so they were leaving and couldn't come back for 4-5 days. My brother asked for a few minutes to simply cut a support and screw the board down, yet they refused and left. This loft had to be finished by the weekend, so I then had to hire another company to come out and do the installation. When we explained what happened with the Installers to the third party installers they reconfirmed our thoughts that we were being treated unfairly. Yet, I had no hard feelings up to this time as I thought it would be no problem to get the installation feedback from Carpet Plus because after all, they didn't Install the carpet. When my brother returned to speak to the owner, which we also had a Carpet Kicker they mistakenly left that we wanted to give back, he wanted to charge us more because of the installers going to our house twice - and he said the cut they brought us that we purchased was actually 4 feet larger than they originally told us. What?? I travel across the US offering kindness to families in need, so this unkindness and pure disrespect is something I am not use to feeling. We paid to have a carpet installed, but that did not happen. All we asked for was a refund for this fee.
