  I went in to Montezuma Jewelers today searching for a new watch. There was only one person in the store, presumably the owner, although he did not introduce himself. I was immediately impressed by their selection of watches. Not once did the man working offer to show me anything, nor did he engage in conversation with me in any capacity. I selected a watch that I wanted to see and he got it out of the case for me. I then asked him several questions about the watch and he did not know the answer to any of them. Worse still, he did not offer to find the information that I requested or look for the answers to my questions in any way. I then asked him the price of the watch, and to my shock, he wouldn't tell me. He simply stated that "we could talk about it if I wanted to buy it". Why would I ask if I wasn't interested in the piece? Anyway, I continued to look at the watch and see for myself if I could answer any of my questions by examining the watch closely for myself. When I started touching the crown of the watch, the owner snapped at me and told me "not to play with it." Excuse me? I own several nice watches and am very well versed in horological knowledge, which I explained to the owner. At that point I had enough. I gave the watch back and quietly left. My recommendation is not to do business with Montezuma, not only were they unprofessional and downright rude, but their knowledge of their own inventory was almost non-existent. Take your business elsewhere and avoid Montezuma Jewelers at all costs.
